St Andrew's has staged a Nativity Tableau in Biggleswade's Market Square for many years now, and this year's Tableau took place on Saturday 23rd December, supported by actors and singers from St Andrew's Church and other churches in Biggleswade.

The tableau tells the story of Christ's birth through Bible readings and carol singing, with members of the church taking the parts of the main characters - the angels, the Three Wise Men, the shepherds, and of course the Holy Family; Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus. We also managed to include some sheep from Stratton School Farm to recreate an authentic stable atmosphere!

The tableau was appreciated by many shoppers out in the town on Saturday morning, who stopped for a while to look and listen. The Tableau serves as a timely reminder of what lies at the heart of our Christmas celebrations - God's gift to us of his only son, Jesus Christ.
Our thanks to all those that took part, especially those from the other churches in Biggleswade, as this was the first Tableau to be formally supported by the town's "Churches Together" organisation.
