Mid April - With the trusses on the roof, it takes over a week to do all the necessary woodwork in order to get everything strong and secure. Then it's time to cover it all with felt - well not actually felt, but a new white product that is breathable and provides ventilation to the roof space.
The next step is the battens that will eventually hold the tiles and then the tiles themselves are loaded up onto the scaffolding ready for laying.
And then finally the roofers move in to tile the roof!
Looking from the back of the Church the building is really taking shape now and is starting to look very good!
